Templafy Package setup when Library module is only for specific users

About this article

In Templafy One, Library Module is the baseline on the Templafy Desktop Package, means every user having Templafy Desktop installed should get access to Library Module.

However in some situation, there are implementations where the Library Module is not for everyone.

This Article presents how we can configure the package to be able to do so with the help of the IT team of the customer.

Configuration steps

  • Copy every VSTO Add-in Reg Key file and save the copy in a separate folder:
  • You should then have 2 sets of registry keys that will have to be edited in different ways

The first set of Registry Keys:

  • In the first original set that is still located in the package, update every VSTO Add-in Reg Key file in the package and delete the highlighted line for each one of them like below:

  • Zip the package and add it to the related Templafy tenant

The second set of registry keys:

  • Update the copied VSTO Add-in Reg Key like below:

  • Share these Reg Keys with customer's IT team to have them pushed through SCCM or GPO to enable the Library module for the related users

NOTE: Registry files are always getting blocked by email systems, that's why the recommendation is share with the customer a download link (like the one of the MSI)
