What is a dynamic template?

Dynamic templates

A dynamic template can be personalized based on the User Profile of an end-user, meaning that the document generated will be on-brand, legally compliant, and able to contain personal information.

The dynamic template uploaded to Templafy contains a basic design, formatting, and a series of dynamic placeholders. These placeholders are populated with data based on individual users, which turns the dynamic template into a personalized document.

Examples of elements which enable a template to be personalized to a user:

  • Personal information from the user profile.
  • Document specific information from a document form.
  • Company information, such as address and contact information.
  • Document language, and profile relevant languages.
  • Legal disclaimers.
  • Logos and color theme.
  • Date

The opposite of a dynamic template is a static template, which you can read more about in the article: What is a static template.
